Will it Stop Where it Feels Good? Or Bad?

I have a deep distrust for governing bodies, I don’t care which party they work for. Perhaps it’s because my natal chart is ruled by Saturn, but I don’t care for demanded conformity nor strict laws absent any room for nuance. No situation is exactly the same as another and to rule as if everything meets the same criteria is madness to me. That being said, today is election day in the US and as Tarot is always current with the times, I’ve drawn the Wheel of Fortune. This is a Major Arcana card which speaks to the big picture.

True to the name, The Wheel Of Fortune carries the wisdom that “anything is possible.” The wheel has been spinning and is about to come to a stop; where that will be, nobody knows. Every stopping point is slightly or vastly different than it’s counterpoints and there’s an air of fate and destiny at every click.

The Wheel of Fortune is a game of chance whose outcome is deeply affected by the things that happen before it. In this case, you (and we) are exactly here, because of the state of our minds. When look out there and see love, peace and generosity but also bitterness, dissension and hatred, it’s confusing. But it’s also familiar, because we undergo all of those things internally as well. There’s nothing wrong with polarity of emotions but when the Wheel of Fortune shows up, most of us like to throw our hands in the air and pretend like we have no power and things just happen to us, and it isn't like that.

The Law of Attraction states: that which is like, attracts the same. If you want the little ticker on your personal wheel to land where it feels good, there’s a responsibility you must take to address the uncomfortable places in your consciousness. If your wheel keeps landing in frustrating places, its worth examining that. You will see in the world, the same that exists in yourself. If a politician is a liar, where do you lie? If a politician is venomous, how are you venomous?

This isn’t about how you’re screwing up. This is our reality, we all share responsibility, we’re all riding on similar wheels. Being venomous means you’re repressing anger that’s leaking out in inappropriate ways. Repressed anger means you’re working with boundary issues. Every action provides a map back to the starting point and it’s up to you to trace dark emotions back to their origins. Once you’re there you can examine, process, and come up with more effective ways of relating to people (that feel a hell of a lot better!) Like they say- in order to achieve world peace, you must first achieve inner peace. This is how you do that.
