TV Time

A few months ago, Sari Padorr, a freelance writer from The Denver Post featured my work in the Saturday Section of the Post, in an article about Colorado metal artists. Well Sari came through for me again and connected me with the producers of The Everyday Show on Fox 31 News in Denver. I was interviewed by Libby Weaver on a segment with 2 other local women to talk about Valentine Jewelry. It was a total blast! Watch the segment here.

It was very cool to be behind the scenes, see the sets, the camera people, watch how they cut for breaks and count down to live air time. The producers were so friendly and Libby Weaver and Natalie Tysdal, the anchors we spoke to, were so sparkly and approachable- and pretty- wow!

I presented both Natalie and Libby, as well as the producers of the show (and Sari too- thanks again Sari!) with their very own Sweetheart Necklace (with charms from the new line) inscribed with the names of their kiddos and they were all so pleased. Look for them being worn on air- both said they would. And they loved their pieces!

Sweetheart Mania!

Well it's July and we are finally able to catch our breath a bit here in the studio. The Parenting Magazine feature had us crazy for months! We produced so many of these pretty little personalized Sweetheart Necklaces that I've lost count. I've said before that I owe my sanity to my wonderful studio assistant Shannon. Not only can she wire wrap her butt off but she has loads of patience (which I don't) and shes totally fun to have in the studio. Love you Shannon! Thanks to all of you for supporting us and ordering these necklaces for the moms, sisters, grandmas and friends in your life! Congratulations to Jayme P. who won the necklace from the contest here on the blog and to Denise J. who was the lucky winner from the Parenting website contest. We couldn't do it without you, our fabulous customers!

The Good and The Bag

Blogs and websites are so interesting to me...I love how some scream high fashion, some are edgy, some are pretty or funky or sweet. They remind me of bedrooms. I always envision each site to be a general representation of it's creators' bedroom. Am I just strange? Oh well, at any rate, Dana at Thegoodandthebag.com must have a lovely, elegant and very sophisticated bedroom, because that is exactly how it feels over at her website. She "loves the charming things in life" and frankly, that says it all. She chooses some of the most delectable stuff to feature in tons of categories (niceties, books, jewelry etc.) It's a great place to find gifts for people that you may otherwise never have found. She featured my Sweetheart Necklace (that necklace has been hard at work these past few months) Thank you Dana!!

Parenting Magazine and Sweetheart Necklace Contest

My Sweetheart Necklace got featured in Parenting Magazine- I'm such a proud parent! The article was about cool jewelry for Moms and well, I guess I'm officially cool...or at least the necklace is cool right? One of my favorite girlfriends, Shannon Sunderland of Hot Mama Designs also got a great mention for her cool custom jewelry- yeah!

Parenting magazine is hosting "31 days of Mothers Day Giveaways" and you can log onto parenting.com/giveawayaday for the chance to win one of 31 great prizes. You can win a Sweetheart Necklace on May 31.

In honor of Mothers Day (and to celebrate my little Sweetheart Necklaces' big accomplishment) I will also be having a contest on the blog. Leave a comment telling me your favorite thing about your dear Mama and be entered to win a SHN of your very own, with your very own custom names and dates...how exciting! The contest will run from today through May 31. Don't forget to leave your email address on the comment please. Good Luck!
