When we were small little people and at the mercy of our big adult parents, we used to play a game called “If I whine loud enough and long enough, then maybe they’ll give me what I want” and it was a pretty effective game wasn’t it? A lot of us still play this game except when we play it as adults, it has a different name and it’s called“I’m the victim here and I don’t have to take any responsibility! ” Unfortunately it doesn’t work as well.
Standing high on a mountain top, he looks out. Although we only see him from behind, we sense a certain confidence. He has his hand on his staff and his feet hip width distance from each other. This is the way we position our feet in yoga, to create ground and stability. The Three of Wands is a Minor Arcana, fire element, action, inspiration and energy card.
Mercury has gone direct (freeing up our ability to communicate effectively), Mars is moving into Capricorn (a sign in which he’s exalted, meaning Mars and Capricorn work very efficiently together) and the combination of the two of those astrological activities speak to the cohesive energy of a turning point, a moving and shaking and getting projects finished kind of energy. (Thank you thank you thank you)
The Three of Wands is about having foresight, making a plan and taking initiative. We’ve been in the strangest of energetic patterns all year, trying to make that rain and find that gold! But instead our energy levels have fluctuated and we’ve found ourselves lacking stamina (and whining about it). For real though, it’s frustrating to want to achieve and not be able to. So we’ve been wading slowly in knee deep water, trying to get somewhere fast (to no avail) and getting resentful about it. But we’re on the verge of a shift; that water is swirling down the drain and we’re getting ready to be able to run again.
If you’ve felt stalled out or frustrated and like things haven't been happening fast enough (or at all) its time to capitalize on this new wave of energy. Be visionary. Be creative. The “You Create Your Own Reality” movement is not a crock of bull, it’s a principal that really works… but guess what? You have to co-create it. You can’t sit back and whine about how you aren't getting what you want and expect it to miraculously show up. You have to hike to the top of that hill, look around, get clear, and visualize your ideas.
So the game this week is called “This is what I want Universe, bring it to me now!” and It’s a fun one! So go, start playing, be purposeful. Do it. Do it. Do it.
