Why is this so hard?
Everywhere I turn I see my friends and family dealing with some version of this question. It doesn’t matter what feels so incredibly hard in your life right now; whatever situation feels so excruciating, it feels that way for a reason.
If you’ve ever had a Natal Chart Reading from a good astrologer, you’ll have come away (hopefully) with some ideas about what your soul came to learn in this incarnation. I always envision a soul hovering around big blue prints with a group of spirit guides making plans, before coming to live a life on earth. The blueprints contain the goals for the soul; what it wants to learn while its down here.
So we arrive with big plans (and we haven’t chosen easy lessons either, not us sensitive types anyway). We have grand plans but we show up with champagne tastes and a beer budget. We arrive knowing very little and we inevitably start off at a disadvantage. We’re born into circumstances and families that don’t understand us or support our visions, in fact we ourselves have no idea what the hell we had planned- we have to learn it. What’s the best way to learn how to get what we want? To experience receiving it’s direct opposite first. So a soul that wants to learn deeply about freedom will opt into a life of imprisonment (whether literal or figurative). A soul that wants to learn about unconditional love will opt into an initial experience where he or she feels utterly unloveable.
We create situations that feel like shit, but provide us the hole we must climb up and out of in order to get to our ultimate destination. So we spend our lives working through situations, family circumstances, health issues and relationship dramas all in the name of trying to deeply understand the lessons we came here to learn. We need the experiences, in the same way college students need internships. We have to be out in the field of life if we want to mature and master our craft.
So yes, it feels hard, so damn hard. But it’s not random, you’re not a victim of circumstance, the other person isn’t screwing you over. You have a goal, and a plan and and when it’s all said and done, you’re going to graduate with that PHD in whatever it is you chose and then you get to teach other people how to do the same thing. So deep breath- you got this.
